A note on health, timing and my services

Updated: May 4, 2023

Hello there!

I wanted to get right down to it and talk about an aspect of my health that impacts on the timing of my services and why there might be occasional delays.

I have bipolar II, which means I have an 'invisible' genetic, illness that at times, severely, effects my mental health. I say invisible because I don't wear a cast and there aren't always obvious signs visible from the outside (apart from my messy hair lol) that I'm struggling with bipolar depression or any of the other symptoms of this illness.

Bipolar of all kinds is cyclical, that means that I go through cycles of hypomania or feeling 'up' (energised, passionate and easily aggravated) and times of deep depression that can last for days or weeks. This YouTube channel is a great resource for learning more.

I do my best to let my clients know if their services are going to be delayed due to cycling down (depression, acute anxiety etc.). These depressive periods can make getting in touch with my intuition to do tarot readings and having the energy for spells near impossible. Rest is essential during these times.

These cycles will arise from time to time, so I'll be in contact with you if there are ever delays because of needing to look after my health. I usually work full-time as an occult healer, but sometimes I can only work part-time or not at all due to bipolar depression.

But I power on!

Bipolar is just a factor in my life that I need to consider as part of my work-life and beyond.

Anyway, thank you for reading this. Many blessings to you and I look forward to reading your cards and creating a better, more gorgeous future for you, together.

Sending you love and splendid darkness,

Rachael

P.S

Some people find learning that a friend (for example) has bipolar very triggering. This can happen if they have experienced trauma associated with a parent, friend or partner etc. who was abusive or violent as part of their negative coping skills associated with their mental illness (bipolar or otherwise). If this is you, learning a bit about how trauma works or seeking professional help can be very healing and help lessen the fear response when encountering safe people who also just happen to have a mental illness.
