Is it okay to be consulting a witch? Is it okay even though I'm not into witchcraft myself?

Yes. Anyone can come to a witch or pagan for help (if that person is also in the practice of helping others). All that is required is an open heart and to treat the witch or pagan with respect. And to respect their worldview and where they are coming from.
